Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a motivated Management Information Officer to support both Adult Services and Children’s Services. You’ll collect, validate and analyse performance data, producing dashboards and management information for diverse audiences to aid decision-making.

Hybrid working is offered, with 37 hours per week. The role requires proving reports, monitoring data quality and contributing to service improvements within the Performance Management Team.

Qualifications

• Experience of producing statistical reports and returns.
• Experience of computer databases and query tools.
• Ability to assess work priorities and manage one’s own time to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to analyse numerical data using various statistical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate and analyse performance and activity data across Adult Services and Children’s Services.
• Produce accurate, timely reports, dashboards and management information for a range of audiences.
• Collaborate with practitioners, managers and partner teams to understand reporting requirements and present findings clearly.
• Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies and support improvements to recording practices.
• Support statutory returns, performance monitoring and continuous service improvement.
