Job summary

Millennium is seeking a People Advisor at our Wakefield head office with hybrid working and travel to services. You will support managers with day-to-day questions, turning people policies into practical guidance and helping improve the employee experience.

Working alongside our People Partners, you’ll analyse workforce data, handle absence, probation and performance matters, and ensure compliant records and DBS checks while driving improvements across the people function.

Qualifications

• Experience in a People, HR Advisory or Employee Relations role.
• Experience supporting absence, probation, grievance, disciplinary or performance processes.
• Knowledge of People policies, procedures and HR systems.
• Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills.
• A commitment to continuous learning and development.
• CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive People advice and support to a portfolio of services.
• Manage employee relations cases including absence, probation, performance and grievances.
• Help managers understand their responsibilities and make confident people decisions.
• Use workforce data and trends to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Ensure People administration, records and systems are accurate and compliant.
• Support workforce compliance activities including right to work and DBS checks.
• Work collaboratively with Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and the wider People team to deliver a joined-up service.
