Job summary

Livewell Southwest is seeking a proactive People Advisor to join the HR People Team in Plymouth. You will provide high-quality HR advice, coaching and operational support to managers across a wide range of services.

The role requires CIPD involvement, strong employment law knowledge, and the ability to balance competing priorities while developing people management capability. Hybrid working with on-site presence as required, and a commitment to staff development.

Qualifications

• Associate Member of the CIPD with HR experience in a large or complex organisation
• Ideally working towards Chartered Member CIPD status
• Highly organised, solutions-focused, and able to balance competing priorities
• Skilled at building strong, trusting relationships at every level
• Emotionally intelligent, resilient, and comfortable working autonomously
• Confident in current employment law and good HR Practice

Responsibilities

• Advise and support managers in managing absence, discipline and grievance, capability issues and management of change.
• Work in partnership with managers to develop effective solutions to HR management issues through questioning, listening, persuasion and negotiating skills.
• Support the development of managers' people management skills through advice, coaching and training.
• Line management responsibilities may be required for junior team members.
• Interprets and reviews changes to employment legislation and contributes to HR policies.
• Prepare and deliver training and development activities on various HR topics.
