Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking two: a mobile repairs and maintenance technician to support Parking Services across city locations. You will work from a central location, covering repairs and upkeep for buildings, stock and equipment, on a rota that spans 6am to 11pm over seven days.

Successful candidates will bring NVQ in a related area or be willing to train, plus knowledge of health and safety regulations and strong interpersonal skills to interact with the public and colleagues.

Qualifications

• NVQ in a related area or willingness to attend training to attain this.
• Provide technical support within Parking Services, ensuring smooth operation.
• Experience/knowledge of health and safety legislation and its application.
• Tact and diplomacy in all interpersonal relationships with the public and colleagues.
• Role requires participation in the on call rota.
• Flexibility to work a shift/rota over 7 days between 6am and 11pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective repairs and maintenance service across parking buildings, premises and equipment.
• Work with Service Manager to maintain a mobile repairs service from a central location.
• Respond to needs at multiple locations to ensure continuity of service.
• Support operational management of Parking Services and delivery of planned maintenance.
