Job summary

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an administrator for the Paediatric Fatigue services team in Bath. This nine-month fixed-term role is full time with one day a week from home, supporting patient bookings, calls and coordination within the multidisciplinary team.

You will have proven administrative experience in busy healthcare settings; strong English communication and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven administrative or secretarial experience in a busy environment.
• Previous healthcare administration experience.
• Experience handling calls and messages.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full medical administrative service, including booking in and out appointments and scheduling or rescheduling them
• Act as first point of contact, answering all telephone enquiries and taking and passing on messages politely
• Use own judgement to prioritise issues and take action as appropriate
• Liaise with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a quality service to patients
• Share responsibility for the smooth running of the administrative service to support safe patient care
