Job summary

Confidential is seeking a detail‑driven Management Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. In a hybrid role, you’ll develop experience across management accounts and sales ledger, handling reconciliations, reporting and daily financial tasks. This position offers up to two days home working and study support to help you pursue relevant accounting qualifications.

You will collaborate with colleagues to maintain accurate ledgers, improve processes and meet deadlines in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a sales ledger in a busy finance environment.
• Good understanding of reconciliations, journals and month-end processes.
• Experience in credit control and chasing outstanding payments.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and meeting deadlines.
• Confident communicator who can build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bank reconciliations, journals and monthly financial reports.
• Support month-end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reviews.
• Raise sales invoices, allocate payments and respond to customer queries.
• Monitor outstanding debts and chase overdue payments.
• Investigate discrepancies and work with colleagues to resolve issues.
• Produce weekly sales and debtor reports and support audit requirements.
