Job summary

OpenDigital Limited in Birmingham is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic finance team. You will manage day-to-day transactional finance tasks and support month-end processes.

Ideal candidates are AAT qualified (or equivalent) with strong Excel skills and attention to detail, able to work collaboratively and eager to study further accounting qualifications. Hybrid working after probation is offered.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified (or equivalent) with solid hands-on experience in transactional finance.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• A proactive team player who is eager to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Processing day-to-day transactional finance activities, including purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Preparing and assisting with VAT, payroll, and other routine financial reporting.
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes to ensure timely and accurate accounts.
• Liaising with internal teams and external clients to resolve queries and maintain accurate records.
