Job summary

Wise Monkey Recruitment ltd is seeking a proactive Management Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team. The role covers management accounts, reconciliations, sales ledger and credit control with hybrid working and study support available.

The successful candidate will prepare bank reconciliations, support month-end and provide key reports while collaborating with international teams and stakeholders across the business. A strong Excel skillset and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a sales ledger in a busy finance environment.
• Understanding of reconciliations, journals and month-end processes.
• Experience in credit control and chasing overdue payments.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and ability to meet deadlines.
• Confident communicator able to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Preparing bank reconciliations, journals and monthly financial reports.
• Supporting month-end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss reviews.
• Raising sales invoices, allocating payments and managing customer queries.
• Monitoring outstanding debts and proactively chasing overdue payments.
• Investigating discrepancies and working with colleagues to resolve issues.
• Producing weekly sales and debtor reports and supporting audit requirements.
