Job summary

WSP Lighting and Energy Solutions in the UK offers opportunities for Lighting Engineers from Engineer to Principal level. You will support Local Government and SRN capabilities, designing layouts and providing technical guidance.

The role requires proficiency in Lighting Reality or Dialux and AutoCAD, a strong knowledge of external lighting standards, and the ability to coach junior team members. Hybrid working with CPD and Chartership support is provided.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Lighting Reality or Dialux lighting design software and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of external lighting standards, guidance, regulations.
• Experience in lighting design from conception to construction issue.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed design layouts and drawings per QA requirements.
• Prepare feasibility reports, option reports, and specs.
• Engage with luminaire, column, and control manufacturers.
• Coordinate with contractors including RFIs and TQs.
• Conduct non-intrusive site visits to support lighting assessments.
• Contribute to proposals and track progress against milestones.
