Job summary

WSP is seeking Lighting Engineers across levels to support Local Government and Strategic Road Network projects in the UK. You will produce detailed design layouts, feasibility studies, and documentation, liaising with clients and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.

We value hands-on experience with Lighting Reality, Dialux and AutoCAD, plus the ability to mentor junior staff. Join a multidisciplinary team delivering landmark infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Lighting Reality or Dialux and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of external lighting standards and regulations.
• Experience leading projects from conception to issue for construction.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed design layouts and supporting documentation.
• Prepare feasibility reports, optioneering reports and specs.
• Engage with luminaire, column, controls and electrical manufacturers.
• Coordinate with contractors and respond to RFI/TQ.
• Conduct non-intrusive site visits for lighting assessments.
• Support development of proposals and monitor milestones and budgets.
• Liaise with Local Authority and Strategic Road Network clients.
• Guide and develop junior team members.
