Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Lighting Engineer to join our Lighting & Energy Solutions team in the UK. You will liaise with multi-disciplinary design teams, produce detailed design layouts, and prepare feasibility reports and specifications in line with QA and client requirements.

You will engage with luminaire and electrical manufacturers, coordinate with contractors for site support, and mentor junior team members. The role offers hybrid working and access to CPD and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work with lighting design from conception through to issue for construction.
• Strong knowledge of external lighting standards, guidance, and regulations.
• Experience with coordinating with contractors and site support.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Lighting & Energy Solutions team, multi-disciplinary design teams, stakeholders and clients.
• Produce detailed design layouts and drawings with QA compliance.
• Prepare feasibility reports, option studies, and specifications.
• Engage with luminaire, column, controls and electrical manufacturers.
• Coordinate with contractors including site support and RFIs/TQs.
• Support development of project proposals and progress against milestones and budget.
