WSP Lighting & Energy Solutions in Glasgow is seeking a Lighting Engineer to join our growing team. You will work on detailed lighting design, liaise with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to feasibility studies and specifications.

The role requires experience with Lighting Reality or Dialux and AutoCAD, knowledge of external lighting standards, and the ability to develop designs from conception to construction. Hybrid working and professional support are provided.

Competenze

• Proficient with Lighting Reality or Dialux and AutoCAD for detailed lighting design.
• Understanding of external lighting standards, guidance, legislation and regulations.
• General awareness of electrical design and lighting maintenance operations.
• Experience in lighting design from conception through to issue for construction.
• Knowledge of central management systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with strong communication and organisation.

Mansioni

• Liaise with Lighting & Energy Solutions team, wider multi-disciplinary design teams, stakeholders and clients.
• Produce detailed design layouts, engineering detailed drawings and support documentation in accordance with WSPs Quality Assurance and client requirements.
• Support with the preparation of feasibility reports and technical notes, optioneering reports and specifications.
• Engagement with luminaire, column, controls and electrical manufacturers
• Co-ordination with contractors including site support, responding to RFI’s and TQ’s.
• Completion of non-intrusive site visits to support the development of lighting assessments and site clearance drawings.
• Support with the development of project proposals and progress against agreed programme milestones and budget constraints.
• Assist with the engagement of Local Authority and Strategic Road Network clients building strong working relationships.
• Support Early Career Professionals on their career journeys
• Represent WSP within the lighting industry, fostering industry relationships and driving business development.
