Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Senior Temporary Works Engineer to join Kier Design. The role covers leadership of temporary works design across multiple UK locations, delivering safe, buildable solutions and supporting complex projects from concept through delivery.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with CDM regulations and Kier's quality management system. Flexible/hybrid working options available.

• Experience leading temporary works design and checking across projects.
• Ability to deliver safe, buildable solutions and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Evidence of professional development and membership of a professional body.

Responsibilities

• Lead temporary works design and checking, integrated with permanent works.
• Provide tender and bid support including outline design schemes.
• Manage technical aspects of projects, ensuring CDM compliance and Kier's QMS.
• Develop relationships with clients and design teams, representing Kier at project meetings.
• Mentor and develop staff within Kier Design, promoting the engineering profession.
