Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking an Associate Engineer to join a highly regarded UK contractor and its design and project teams. The role involves leading temporary works design, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting bids for major infrastructure schemes.

The position is based in multiple UK locations with agile working and possible partial remote days. The candidate should be a Chartered engineer with senior-level experience and a proven track record in complex design and delivery.

Qualifications

• Chartered engineer with significant relevant experience.
• Experience in leading complex construction engineering services and temporary works design.
• Skilled in design management and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead temporary works design and checking, integrated with permanent works where applicable.
• Provide tender and bid support including feasibility studies and outline design schemes.
• Manage delivery of alternative solutions and value engineering opportunities.
• Oversee project teams, ensuring technical compliance and quality of design deliverables.
• Build positive relationships with clients and design teams, representing Kier at project meetings.
