Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Senior Engineer to join Kier Design, delivering construction engineering services including temporary works design across a diverse project portfolio.

Based in multiple locations with agile working, you will lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IEng MICE) or equivalent construction engineering experience.
• Experience delivering construction engineering services including temporary works design and design management.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills; commitment to CPD.
• Ability to manage projects and ensure compliance with regulations and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of temporary works design, tender support, alternative solutions, and design management advice across projects.
• Managing day-to-day workloads of engineers and technical staff, ensuring technical compliance and quality of design deliverables.
• Acting as the lead representative at project meetings, developing positive relationships with clients and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Overseeing the financial and commercial aspects of projects, monitoring progress against programme and budget.
• Providing leadership to your team, conducting performance reviews, managing workloads, and supporting the development of staff within Kier Design.
