Job summary

Hastings Direct is hiring a Lead Business Analyst to own business analysis and design across a defined domain. You will provide leadership to Senior, Business, and Junior BAs, guiding best practices and ensuring readiness for delivery.

The role combines hands-on analysis with people development and strong stakeholder engagement. You’ll work in a hybrid model with offices in Bexhill or Leicester, requiring weekly on-site presence and attendance at quarterly events.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading business analysis across complex projects, programmes or domains.
• Strong knowledge of requirements elicitation, process modelling and data analysis.
• Experience leading and developing BAs at different levels.
• Confident with senior stakeholders, technology teams and third parties.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Experience in Agile environments (BDD, Scaled Agile or Scrum).

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis and design activity across your domain, from initial discovery and requirements through to delivery and business readiness.
• Shape, analyse and document complex requirements, facilitating workshops and translating user and business needs into clear specifications.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and mentoring to Senior BAs, BAs and Junior BAs.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, technology teams and third parties, providing trusted advice and visibility of risks and progress.
• Champion BA standards, methodologies and best practice across your domain and the wider community.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies and governance requirements to deliver the right outcomes.
