Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Exeter is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Building Surveyor to join our growing team. You will gain hands-on experience across education, healthcare, commercial, residential, and public-sector estates while working toward your APC with RICS.

You will support survey programmes, inspections and data collection, learning from senior colleagues across UK projects while contributing to reporting and client deliverables in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Completed or currently studying a degree in Building Surveying or another RICS-accredited discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK when required.

Responsibilities

• Support condition survey programmes and asset inspections.
• Undertake building inspections and data collection using digital survey tools.
• Assist with defect diagnosis and technical investigations.
• Support project management and contract administration commissions.
• Assist with measured surveys and building recording.
• Contribute to Party Wall and dilapidations instructions.
• Prepare reports, schedules and survey documentation.
• Validate and manage survey data.
• Support senior colleagues with project administration and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with teams across the UK office network.
