Job summary

GamCare is seeking an IT Support Technician for hybrid work in London, with 35 hours per week and a salary of £32,074. You’ll be the first point of contact for day-to-day IT queries, assisting staff with Microsoft 365, hardware and access issues.

The role involves supporting the service desk, building and upgrading laptops and devices, promoting cyber security, and delivering friendly, customer‑focused support to colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT helpdesk or service desk
• Able to diagnose issues and explain technical information
• Strong customer service orientation

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to colleagues, responding to service desk requests in a timely, professional and customer-focused manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, access and connectivity issues, escalating more complex problems where required.
• Support Microsoft 365 administration, including user accounts, permissions, groups, mailboxes and basic application support.
• Build, configure, upgrade and maintain laptop PCs, mobile devices and other IT equipment in line with organisational standards whilst maintaining accurate records of IT assets, support requests and device allocations.
• Support small-scale IT rollouts, projects and service improvements, helping ensure changes are well planned and communicated.
• Promote good cyber security practice, safe use of systems and effective adoption of technology across GamCare.
