Job summary

Focus Group is seeking an IT Solutions Engineer to join the Service Delivery team. You will work from home with 3-4 days per week on-site with customers in the Glasgow and Edinburgh area, installing and supporting ICT solutions for organisations of all sizes.

You will be a subject matter expert in at least one area (Networking, Server/Storage, or Cloud) and lead projects, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with account management and vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT support or delivery role.
• Subject matter expert in at least one listed area.
• Ability to design solutions within your expert area.
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain ICT solutions on-site or remotely.
• Escalate complex faults and serve as SME for your area.
• Collaborate with project teams, 3rd Line Engineers and Service Desk.
• Lead small, medium and large projects and mentor others.
• Attend customer calls to scope, design and document requirements.
• Conduct site surveys and document IT infrastructure to high standard.
• Design best-practice solutions and coordinate with account management and vendors.
• Share knowledge and keep up with industry changes; mentor colleagues.
