Job summary

Civil Aviation Authority is seeking a Platform Delivery Specialist at Gatwick, hybrid role responsible for delivering IT infrastructure in line with business goals. You will work on strategic objectives, provide input on design and service transition, and ensure effective implementation and handover to support teams.

The role requires input into infrastructure projects, technical mentoring, and the ability to adapt to evolving business needs while maintaining SLAs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable specialist knowledge of infrastructure development lifecycles in complex environments.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-based technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure and Office 365 services.
• Ability to negotiate with external suppliers to satisfy business needs.
• SharePoint configuration is essential; migration to SharePoint Online desirable.
• Formal infrastructure accreditations (MCITP/VCAP or CCNA/CCNP) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide input into and interpret design and strategy for IT infrastructure.
• Oversee delivery of IT infrastructure projects in line with approved designs.
• Develop service requirements and transition planning with the Technical Development Manager.
• Mentor ISD staff and support project delivery through to operational teams.
• Provide technical direction at tactical and strategic levels to meet business requirements.
