Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions seeks an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer in Tiverton, Devon, offering a salary of £30,000–£35,000 per year. The role is primarily site-based with hybrid options after probation.

You’ll lead 3rd-line support, modernize IT estate, and drive cloud adoption while supporting on-premises and serverless initiatives. Key responsibilities include maintaining IT infrastructure, security alignment, patching, change management and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience across multiple technical disciplines in IT.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure.
• Experience with on-premises Wintel infrastructure and transition to cloud.
• Ability to provide 3rd-line support and handle escalations.
• Understanding of cybersecurity objectives and patching.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and improve the organisation's IT infrastructure.
• Support the transition towards modern workplace and cloud-based technologies.
• Analyze existing infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Research and recommend appropriate technologies and solutions.
• Ensure infrastructure improvements align with cybersecurity objectives.
• Provide 3rd-line technical support and assist the IT support team with escalated issues.
• Undertake project-related activities designed to improve and support the IT estate.
• Participate in change management activities.
• Support joiner, mover and leaver processes, including device and account provisioning.
• Carry out regular patching, upgrades and preventative maintenance.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and undertake predictive failure analysis.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, including remediation and continuous improvement.
• Produce technical documentation to support IT processes and workflows.
• Provide occasional support outside core hours for planned upgrades and maintenance.
• Travel to UK and European branch sites may occasionally be required.
