Job summary

Adecco are recruiting for a HR Officer to work within the Devon & Cornwall Police Force, based in Exeter. This temporary, full-time role offers a 37-hour week and an hourly rate of £17.97. The assignment ends on 22 November 2027 and requires police vetting and UK residency for at least 3 years.

You will manage grievances, support investigations, provide HR guidance to managers and work with trade unions to support meetings and appeals. Hybrid working is available where business needs allow.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR or employee relations with case management knowledge.
• Strong communication abilities, resilience and empathy.
• Solid understanding of employment legislation and HR best practises.
• Good investigative, analytical and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Grievance management from initial concerns to resolution.
• Conduct impartial investigations and prepare reports.
• Provide HR advice to managers on workplace disputes.
• Collaborate with managers, trade unions and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and MI related to grievance cases.
