Job summary

Devon & Cornwall Police is recruiting two full-time HR Officers (Delivery) to manage and coordinate grievances across the Force. The role involves supporting managers and employees, conducting investigations, and considering appeals, with a hybrid working arrangement and travel across the Force area.

Successful applicants will advise on disputes, maintain records, and work with HR teams to ensure fair, compliant outcomes aligned with employment legislation and organisational policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role or ability to demonstrate effective case management / employee relations support.
• Highly effective communications skills with resilience, empathy and assertiveness as needed.
• Solid understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Strong report writing, investigation and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate grievance cases from initial concern through to resolution.
• Provide impartial investigations into employee relations matters and prepare investigation reports.
• Offer professional HR advice to managers on workplace disputes, informal and formal.
• Support grievance meetings and appeals by managers and investigating officers.
• Liaise with employees, Trade Unions and stakeholders as required.
• Maintain accurate records and produce management information on grievance cases.
