Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate Highways and Traffic Engineer in Leeds to start in 2027. You’ll join our Traffic Engineering teams and work on road, junction and cycle design, traffic modelling and sustainable transport solutions.

The role combines live project experience with structured training and mentoring, within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll develop skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LinSig, TRANSYT and VISSIM while contributing to design, modelling and safety assessments before

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Interest in traffic engineering, transport and sustainable networks.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with ability to interpret technical info.
• Good written and verbal communication; capable of report writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the development of designs and technical solutions through project stages.
• Attend site visits, meetings and workshops with clients and design professionals.
• Receive training in engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LinSig, TRANSYT, VISSIM).
• Grow responsibility for project tasks and deliverables as experience increases.
