Job summary

AECOM is seeking an enthusiastic Highways & Complete Streets Apprentice in Leeds to support a range of traffic engineering projects and learn through hands-on experience with experienced engineers. You'll contribute to safer, more efficient transport networks while developing practical skills across CAD, design software, data analysis and project lifecycles.

You'll work in multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid setting, with on‑the‑job learning, formal training and mentoring to progress toward a

Qualifications

GCSEs including Maths and English required.
Three A‑Levels (or equivalent) including Maths and a physical science where required for Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship.
Interest in traffic, transport or civil engineering and a desire to build a career in the industry.
Aptitude for technical software and engineering drawing with interest in CAD or 3D modelling.

Responsibilities

Assist with design drawings and supporting documentation using CAD and other software.
Support development and delivery of traffic engineering, highways and active travel schemes.
Collect, analyse and interpret traffic/transport data.
Assist with highway, street and traffic engineering design including signage and road markings.
Support traffic management and signal design activities.
