AECOM is offering a Graduate Civil Engineer position in the Highways & Streets team, based in St Albans. You'll join a large, multi-disciplinary UK&I highways group and be enrolled in the ADVANCE graduate development programme, supporting a broad range of transportation projects.

You’ll work with CAD, Civil 3D and BIM tools, contribute from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support, and aim for professional accreditation while growing in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil Engineering or General Engineering with 2:1 classification (or equivalent) is required.
• MEng in Civil Engineering or General Engineering with 2:1 classification (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
• Relevant modules, coursework or experience in highways, infrastructure or transport would be an advantage.
• Enthusiastic, hard-working and technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
• Good report writing and technical communication skills would be beneficial.
• Ability to structure and prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the wider team.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, while demonstrating initiative and focus.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.
• Willingness to develop professionally and work towards relevant professional accreditation or chartership.
• You must have permanent right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship cannot be offered for this position.

Responsabilités

• Support the delivery of a diverse range of high-profile projects across the transportation business line.
• Work with local and national clients within the UK and Ireland Highways and Streets team.
• Be enrolled in the AECOM ADVANCE graduate development programme to support professional growth.
• Gain hands-on experience from inception through to completion on projects.
• Produce highway design drawings, layouts and supporting technical documentation using CAD and design software.
• Contribute to design of roads, junctions, pedestrian and cycle infrastructure.
