Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer in Glasgow with hybrid working options. You will support local and national engineering teams on projects, including structural surveys, calculations, designs and drawings for residential, commercial and industrial properties, and provide advice to the insurance sector.

Ideal candidate has 2+ years' post-graduate experience in a multi-disciplinary consultancy, knowledge of construction methods and building regulations,

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural/Civil Eng or similar, IStructE/ICE accredited.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Graduate Engineer.
• Experience in consulting engineering, surveying, architecture and planning.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work within budgets.
• Aiming to attain chartership with IStructE or ICE.
• UK driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Structural Reports
• Structural design calculations and preparation of drawings
• Flood damage surveys
• Provide technical advice to clients
• Producing CAD Drawings
• Involved in obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval
• Site inspections and client visits
• Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
• Administering contracts and managing projects
• Assess the sustainability and environmental impact of each project
