Job summary
Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer in Glasgow with 2+ years post-graduate experience to support local and national engineering teams.
The role covers structural surveys, calculations and drawings for residential, commercial and industrial properties, plus advisory work for the insurance sector. The ideal candidate has a degree in Structural/Civil Engineering, is on track for chartership, and holds a UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering or similar, accredited by IStructE or ICE
- 2 years' experience as a Graduate Engineer
- Experience in consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning
- Experience in working to deadlines and within budgets
- UK Driving Licence + Car
Responsibilities
- Structural Reports
- Structural design calculations and preparation of drawings
- Flood damage surveys
- Provide technical advice to clients
- Producing CAD Drawings
- Involved in obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval
- Site inspections and client visits
- Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
- Administering contracts and managing projects
- Assess the sustainability and environmental impact of each project
