Job summary

WSP is expanding its Environmental Project Management team in the UK, seeking several Assistant Project Managers to join the PMO. You will support multi-disciplinary environmental projects, collaborate with Project Managers and Technical Leads, and help keep projects on track, within budget and safe across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting project or workstream delivery, keeping activities aligned to time, cost and quality expectations.
• Comfortable with plans, schedules, risk logs, budgets and reports.
• High attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data.
• Able to organise and prioritise workload across multiple tasks/projects.
• Confident using Excel to manage, analyse and track information.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and technical specialists.
• Clear, professional communication and follow-up of actions.
• Proactive problem-solving to identify and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Support development of project proposals, define scope, programme, resources and budget.
• Assist with project documentation such as plans, cost forecasts, schedules, risk registers, stakeholder logs.
• Coordinate project progress and track delivery against milestones.
• Ensure health and safety requirements for site visits, including approvals.
• Organise meetings and capture outcomes with action follow-ups.
• Manage project information in Common Data Environments (SharePoint/ProjectWise).
• Work with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.
• Assist with administration of supplier contracts.
