Job summary

WSP is growing its Environmental Project Management team and seeks several Assistant Project Managers to join our PMO in the UK. In this role you will support delivery of multidisciplinary environmental projects, working with Project Managers and Technical Leads to keep projects safe, on track and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting project or workstream delivery, with an understanding of how to keep activities aligned to time, cost and quality expectations.
• Comfortable working with project documentation such as plans, schedules, risk logs, budgets and reports.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately with data and identify inconsistencies or issues early.
• Able to organise and prioritise workload across multiple tasks or projects.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to manage, analyse and track information.
• Experience working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including technical teams.
• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to capture key information and follow up on actions.
• A proactive approach to problem solving, supporting the identification and resolution of issues.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development of project proposals, helping to define scope, programme, resources and budget.
• Assisting with key project management documentation, including plans, cost forecasts, schedules, risk registers and stakeholder logs.
• Coordinating project progress, helping track delivery against milestones.
• Ensuring health and safety requirements for site visits are in place, including approvals.
• Organising meetings, capturing key outcomes and following up on actions.
• Managing project information within Common Data Environments such as SharePoint and ProjectWise.
• Working as part of multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with technical specialists and suppliers.
• Supporting the administration of supplier contracts.
