Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is expanding its Environmental Project Management team and seeking Assistant Project Managers to join the PMO. You will support multi-disciplinary environmental projects across the UK, working with Project Managers and Technical Leads to keep work on track and within budget.

This role offers hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, learning structured processes and best practices, with opportunities to progress into an Environmental Project Manager role over

Qualifications

• Experience supporting project delivery, with ability to keep activities aligned to time, cost and quality.
• Comfortable with plans, schedules, risk logs, budgets and reports.
• High attention to detail; able to identify inconsistencies in data.
• Able to organise and prioritise workload across multiple tasks or projects.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to manage and analyse information.

Responsibilities

• Support development of project proposals; define scope, programme, resources and budget.
• Assist with project docs: plans, forecasts, schedules, risk registers, stakeholder logs.
• Coordinate project progress; track delivery against milestones.
• Ensure health and safety requirements for site visits and approvals.
• Organise meetings; capture outcomes and follow up actions.
• Manage project information in SharePoint and ProjectWise.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams; collaborate with technical specialists and suppliers.
• Support administration of supplier contracts.
