Job summary

Central Law Training is seeking an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor to support students on the Manchester campus in a hybrid role. You will deliver face-to-face guidance, develop online resources, and contribute to EAP sessions and workshops for Law, Business and Management, Criminology, Psychology and Computer Science.

The role offers part-time opportunities (0.6 FTE) with daytime or evening classes, pro rata salary guidance, and a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• CELTA/Delta/TESOL or equivalent EAP qualification
• Experience teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and supporting academic skills
• Student-centred guidance and ability to adapt to diverse learner needs
• Confident delivering to individuals and small groups
• Excellent relationship-building and collaboration with colleagues

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class guidance and practical support to students, helping develop academic English and wider study skills
• Deliver one-to-one appointments, small-group activities, workshops and online guidance tailored to individual needs
• Lead timetabled EAP and academic skills sessions, workshops and webinars as required
• Develop high-quality, self-directed learning resources for students
• Collaborate with Faculty and Library & Learning Skills to evaluate learning support programs
