Job summary

Central Law Training in Nottingham offers a hybrid English for Academic Purposes Tutor role, with 1.0 FTE (35 hrs) or 0.6 FTE (21 hrs). The post involves on-campus guidance and remote work for resource development, teaching EAP across Law, Business, Criminology, Psychology and CS.

You will lead in-class support, design sessions and create self-directed materials to enhance student learning. DBS check may apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified in English language teaching (CELTA/DELTA/TESOL/TEFL or equivalent).
• Experience supporting EAP and academic skills development.
• Ability to provide student-centred guidance and adapt to diverse learners.
• Confident in facilitating learning activities for individuals and small groups.
• Strong relationship-building and collaboration with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class guidance to help students develop academic English and study skills.
• Offer one-to-one or small-group learning support and online guidance.
• Lead timetabled EAP sessions, workshops and webinars when required.
• Develop high-quality, self-directed learning resources for independent study.
• Collaborate with Faculty and Library & Learning Skills to evaluate learning programs.
