Job summary

The University of Law is seeking an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor for its Leeds campus in a hybrid, fixed-term role until August 2027. You will support students across Law, Business and Management, Criminology, Psychology and Computer Science with academic English and study skills.

You will lead EAP sessions, create learning resources, and work with colleagues to deliver an engaging program of student learning support on campus and online.

Qualifications

• Qualification in English language teaching (CELTA/DELTA/TESOL/TEFL).
• Experience supporting EAP and academic skills development through diverse methods.
• Ability to provide student-centred guidance and adapt to diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class guidance and practical support to students developing academic English and study skills.
• Deliver one-to-one and small-group sessions, workshops and online guidance.
• Lead timetabled EAP and academic skills sessions and webinars.
• Develop high-quality self-directed learning resources.
• Collaborate with Faculty and Library & Learning Skills to evaluate learning support programs.
