Job summary

Central Law Training is seeking an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor to join the Library & Learning Skills team on a fixed-term, full-time basis at our Leeds campus. You will support students across Law, Business and Management, Criminology, Psychology and Computer Science to develop academic English and study skills.

The role is hybrid, with on-campus teaching and remote work for material development and online guidance.

Qualifications

• CELTA/DELTA/TESOL/TEFL or equivalent EAP qualification.
• Experience supporting EAP and academic skills development through various teaching methods.
• Ability to provide student-centred guidance and adapt to diverse learner needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class guidance and practical support to students, working alongside academic colleagues to help them develop their academic English, assessment literacy and wider study skills.
• Offer targeted learning support through one-to-one appointments, small-group activities, workshops and online guidance, adapting approach to meet individual student needs.
• Lead and facilitate timetabled EAP and academic skills sessions, workshops and webinars where required, supporting student-centred learning.
• Develop and maintain high-quality, self-directed learning resources to support students in developing their academic skills independently.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Faculty and Library & Learning Skills to develop, deliver and evaluate an impactful programme of student learning support.
