Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking an IT Systems Lead to manage and develop the Council’s digital systems, delivering upgrades, integrations, and transformation initiatives. You will provide technical leadership across system support, development and data integration, ensuring robust and compliant solutions.

The role requires proven IT experience, strong project management, and the ability to advise on modern digital technologies within a local government context.

Qualifications

• IT-related degree or equivalent qualification, or significant relevant IT experience.
• Proven experience in IT systems, applications support, systems development or digital transformation.
• Demonstrable project management experience with delivering projects on time and within budgets.
• Strong knowledge of digital technologies and software applications.
• Experience with systems development lifecycle in a support/delivery environment.
• Experience with data integration and data transfer between back-end systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead management, support and development of business-critical digital systems to meet department needs.
• Deliver priority system projects, upgrades and critical processes, including year-end activities.
• Conduct analyses, feasibility studies, requirements gathering, system design, coding, testing and implementation.
• Provide technical advice and forward planning for robust and resilient solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders across multiple organisations to maintain strong working relationships.
