Job summary

Thurrock Council is seeking a Digital Field Support Officer to resolve incidents and fulfil service requests across council sites. You will install and repair IT equipment, provide frontline support, and maintain accurate records, with a strong emphasis on customer service.

The role offers hybrid working options, a competitive salary in the 27k–30k range, and benefits through the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Qualifications

• ITIL Foundation and CompTIA A+ are required qualifications.
• Experience with incident management and ICT support is essential.
• Ability to assist non-technical users with patience and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents and requests following agreed processes.
• Respond to queries online, by phone or in person with good service.
• Install or repair IT equipment and software at various locations.
• Support the Service Desk and assist with documentation and records.
