Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust in the UK is seeking a Digital Support Officer to join the newly formed Digital Support team. The role focuses on the day-to-day support, maintenance and operation of the Trust's digital infrastructure and applications.

You will troubleshoot user issues, participate in a daily rota across sites, liaise with third-party suppliers and assist wider Digital teams during emergencies while upholding security and confidentiality.

• Previous experience in a customer support role.
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft applications.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise own work against team needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the reliable operation of the Trust's digital infrastructure, systems, hardware, software and application services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, prioritising them in a timely manner.
• Take part in a daily support rota, working across sites if required.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including third parties.
• Assist wider Digital teams in the event of an emergency.
• Offer assistance and guidance to team members involved in technical support.
• Comply with departmental, support and security procedures, suggesting modifications to the Digital Operational Support Leadership Team.
• Understand the Trust's centralised data processing facilities and how they connect to networks and digital infrastructure.
• Maintain knowledge of advances in digital technology, desktop operating systems and desktop and Hospital Information System software.
• Undertake training courses provided by the Trust.
• Support the maintenance of IT assets and system upgrades.
