Job summary

Oxford Brookes University is seeking a Digital Content Officer to enhance and maintain the Student Experience portal and staff intranet, based between Headington campus and home working. You will deliver CMS training, conduct content quality assurance and lead digital projects.

Working with the Senior Student Communications Officer and ServiceNow platform team, you will run user research, analyze findings, and drive improvements to the digital experience for students and staff during an 18-month

Qualifications

• Experience in web quality assurance, digital content management, and managing digital projects.
• Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS), web analytics tools, digital design principles, and SEO.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities with prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication, written, and stakeholder engagement across seniority levels.
• Educational background of A-levels or equivalent qualification/experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and deliver targeted digital content and CMS training sessions for staff editing content on the student experience portal and staff intranet.
• Perform web quality assurance checks and maintain portal content configuration for an optimized digital experience.
• Manage portal support requests and lead digital content development projects.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow platform team to specify requirements, design, build, test, and deploy updates.
• Conduct in-depth user research using usability studies, analytics, content audits, SEO, A/B testing and focus groups.
• Analyze user research data to prepare reports and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders and committees.
• Support troubleshooting and testing for portal and intranet features.
