Job summary

Global Canopy in Oxford is seeking a Communications Officer to support the Communications Lead by delivering day-to-day digital communications, including website content, newsletters, social media, webinars and media monitoring. You will work with programme colleagues and subject-matter experts to translate technical information into clear, audience-focused content.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in communications, marketing, digital communications or related role.

Responsibilities

• Manage and publish content across Global Canopy’s websites, ensuring accuracy and alignment with objectives.
• Coordinate newsletters and email communications, including Mailchimp campaigns and performance monitoring.
• Draft, edit and proofread website, newsletter, social media content and other digital communications with subject-matter experts to translate technical information.
• Coordinate and support external Communications webinars, handling publicity, invitations and recordings.
• Monitor digital and sustainability trends, identify opportunities, and recommend approaches to strengthen communications.
• Assist social media communications, draft copy, create share kits, and maintain resources in collaboration with the team.
• Maintain media records and evaluate coverage as part of MEL activities.
• Research for media outreach and manage journalist lists; evaluate coverage.
• Organise communications resources and ensure consistency with brand across channels.
• Collaborate across Communications and programme teams to provide support and expertise.
