Confidential in Derby is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a supportive finance team. The role supports a portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping within a flexible hybrid/remote working pattern.

The successful candidate will chase debts, resolve queries, and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal departments while contributing to reporting and process improvement.

Formación

• Experience in Credit Control or similar role.
• Ability to manage own ledger and chase debt.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and monitor your own portfolio of debtor accounts and ensure payments are received within terms.
• Proactively contact customers to chase outstanding balances by phone and email.
• Investigate and resolve account queries and payment discrepancies.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams to support debt recovery.
• Manage the Credit Control inbox and respond to queries promptly.
• Produce and issue customer statements and relevant correspondence.
• Support direct debit collections and cash allocation activities.
• Maintain accurate customer account records.
• Assist with reporting, reconciliations and audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and procedures.
