Confidential in Trafford is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to own their own ledger, actively collecting outstanding debt and building strong customer relationships. The role offers hybrid working and a salary of £30,000–£32,000 with bonus potential within a supportive finance team.

You will manage a portfolio, chase aged debt, resolve queries, and work with internal teams to improve processes, while meeting cash collection targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Control / Accounts Receivable.
• Able to manage own ledger and chase debt.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable with challenging conversations with customers.
• Good Excel and general systems skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage portfolio of customer accounts and own the collection process.
• Proactively chase outstanding debt via phone and email.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Monitor aged debt and ensure overdue balances are followed up.
• Resolve customer queries and disputes promptly.
• Allocate and reconcile customer payments as needed.
• Agree payment plans and monitor adherence.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoices and queries.
• Produce aged debt and cash collection reports.
• Escalate problematic accounts as appropriate.
• Support finance team and contribute to cash collection targets.
• Identify opportunities to improve credit control processes.
