Job summary

Eaton Syalon Ltd. in South Derbyshire is seeking a Senior Credit Controller to own the end-to-end credit control process. The role is hybrid, offering 2 days from home, with a focus on proactive debt collection and ledger management.

You’ll manage high-volume accounts, use ERP systems, and mentor junior colleagues while maintaining strict compliance and accurate reporting. Strong Excel skills and CICM study are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control and managing debtor ledgers.
• Proven ability to work to targets and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Proactively collecting outstanding payments
• Managing and maintaining an allocated debtor ledger
• Investigating invoice queries and resolving issues at source
• Reconciling accounts and issuing monthly statements
• Matching credit notes, deductions and open transactions
• Monitoring payment behaviour and identifying credit risks
• Completing credit checks and recommending credit limits
• Recommending credit holds and debt-recovery action
• Building relationships with customers and internal teams
• Mentoring junior colleagues
