Job summary

Vertex I.T. Solutions Ltd in North West London is seeking an experienced Credit Control & A/R Administrator to support the Accounts Receivable function and cashflow. The role offers a hybrid pattern with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote after probation.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will proactively chase payments, reconcile ledgers, process Direct Debits, and assist with month-end processes while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control and accounts receivable.
• End-to-end credit control process experience.
• Experience managing customer debt and payment queries.
• Knowledge of invoice processing and receipt allocation.
• Proficient in Excel with Pivot, VLOOKUP and SUMIF.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively chase outstanding customer payments by phone and email.
• Liaise with customers to obtain payment dates and resolve queries.
• Produce aged debt and bad debt reports.
• Allocate customer receipts against invoices and investigate unallocated cash.
• Maintain Accounts Receivable ledgers and perform reconciliations.
• Process and reconcile Direct Debit collections.
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations.
• Post and reconcile credit card transactions with supporting documents.
• Manage finance-related mailboxes and respond to queries.
• Support month-end processes and resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
