FT Technologies, a market-leading technology company, is seeking a Finance Officer (Accounts Receivable & Credit Control) in Sunbury-on-Thames. You will manage invoicing, credit control, and cash collection while supporting VAT reporting and financial administration.

The role provides a hybrid work pattern with opportunities to collaborate across a growing finance team in a high-precision engineering environment. Strong cash flow focus and accounting knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Credit Control.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and credit control procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good numerical and analytical ability with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems.
• Credit management qualification or finance-related certification, or part-qualified or studying towards.
• Experience using ERP or accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, or NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Raise and process customer invoices, credit notes, and statements accurately.
• Raise intercompany sale invoices and reconcile intercompany sales and cost of sales.
• Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are received within agreed credit terms.
• Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Investigate and resolve invoice queries, discrepancies, and payment disputes promptly.
• Liaise with the sales team to resolve customer payment and delivery issues.
• Produce regular aged debtor and collection reports for management.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger balances and assist with month-end/year-end processes.
• File quarterly VAT returns and support HMRC audits.
