Job summary

Student Loans Company is seeking a Content & Channels Lead to manage corporate content across intranet, GOV.UK, and colleague channels. You will oversee the Multimedia Designer and Filmmaker, ensuring written, visual and video content align with priorities.

You’ll drive governance, accessibility, and user-focused content, writing and publishing while guiding stakeholders with analytics and feedback to improve channel performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in content design, digital publishing, or communications within a government or large organisation.
• Proven ability to write and edit content for digital platforms using plain English.
• Experience managing intranet content strategy, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to analyse user feedback and analytics to improve content performance.
• Degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, digital media, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team responsible for SLC's corporate content, digital publishing and creative services.
• Develop content strategies, publishing standards and governance frameworks for digital channels.
• Write, edit and publish content; provide expert advice to stakeholders and use analytics to improve performance.
• Champion accessibility and publishing best practices aligned to organisational standards.
