Job summary

Velocity Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Document Controller to support projects across the West Midlands. The role requires managing project design information and documentation within Viewpoint for Projects, ensuring information is accurately recorded, controlled and accessible to site teams.

Experience with Tier 1/2 contractors and ISO 19650 is valued. Hybrid working is offered with a minimum of three days on site at Tipton and Sutton Coldfield, and a full UK driving licence plus access

Qualifications

• Experience in document control within construction projects.
• Proficiency with Viewpoint for Projects.
• Understanding of ISO 19650 standards.
• DfE project experience would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain project documentation within Viewpoint for Projects.
• Ensure the latest revisions of drawings and design information are available to relevant teams.
• Issue reports highlighting new and revised documentation.
• Maintain accurate document registers and ensure compliance with project procedures, the IMP and BEP.
• Manage revision tracking, change control, RFIs and document workflows.
• Support Design and Commercial Managers with CDE processes and information management.
• Manage user access, distribution groups, transmittals and document containers.
• Carry out regular document audits and ensure records are maintained correctly.
• Support and train project teams, consultants and subcontractors in using Viewpoint.
• Liaise with site and design teams regarding handover documentation and provide progress updates.
