Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Commercial Officer to drive commercial performance, ensure strategic alignment, and implement process improvements across the business. The role includes oversight of financial performance, risk management, and staff training to roll out improved procedures.

The position requires strong leadership, ERP and reporting tool experience, and the ability to work across multiple sites including London and surrounding counties, with a hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an operational management role within the Fire and Security industry.
• Excellent financial acumen and analytical ability.
• Experience in process review, documentation, and implementation.
• Ability to design and deliver staff training programs.
• Strong understanding of internal systems and reporting processes.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and commercial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial performance and ensure strategic alignment across the business.
• Lead initiatives to review, document, and roll out improved procedures with staff training.
• Oversee financial performance reporting, risk management, and internal systems governance.
• Design KPIs, manage stock levels, pricing, descriptions, and availability to support sales.
• Support system changes, onboarding, and training across teams.
• Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, escalating risks as needed.
