Job summary

Howden is seeking an Account Handler to support SME clients in Northampton. The role is full-time and office-based with an on-site Northampton office. The office days are currently Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with two days from home; this may change in the future.

You will assist in renewals, mid-term adjustments, obtaining quotations, and invoicing premiums, while maintaining excellent client service and supporting growth across divisions.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of all main General Insurance classes and GDPR.
• Minimum of 2 years’ industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving client retention targets by providing excellent service.
• Liaise with Account Executive to renew strategy and attend client meetings.
• Undertake market exercise to obtain most competitive terms.
• Obtain renewal terms and present to client.
• Issue renewal documentation in line with contract certainty.
• Ensure premiums are collected before cover commences.
• Record information on Acturis and manage the diary system.
• Process adjustments including insurer notifications and premium collection.
• Actively cross-sell products from other Divisions.
