Job summary

Howden UK Brokers Limited in Northampton is seeking an Account Handler to support renewals for SME clients, manage mid-term adjustments, obtain quotations and issue invoices. The role is office-based three days a week with two days from home.

The candidate should have at least 2 years' general insurance experience, with strong client service and negotiation skills; Acturis knowledge is desirable and a commitment to regulatory standards is assumed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' industry experience.
• GCSEs in Maths & English at minimum level.
• Familiarity with Acturis is desirable.
• Awareness of GDPR and ethical standards.
• Strong client-facing and negotiation capability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving renewal targets and provide excellent client service.
• Liaise with Account Executive to strategise renewals and attend client meetings.
• Undertake market exercise to secure competitive terms and obtain renewal quotes.
• Issue renewal documentation and ensure premiums are collected on time.
• Record information on Acturis and cross-sell products where appropriate.
